Week 4 Part B (Post 2): Defining YOUR Target Market

Our target market for Flowers by Annette Inc. is people who are getting married, celebrating a special occasion, or having an event. These people are specifically in need of floral and candle decor. Our demographic includes adults of any gender, marital status, family size, education level, occupation, race, or religion. However, we do offer high quality product which means our prices might not be suited for everyone. We can accommodate to a variety of incomes but that will affect what we are able to do. More specifically, our clients need to have a budget and we will determine if what they want us to do would be in that budget. This is more something that is circumstantial and up for discussion.

Psychographically, our target market are those who value and appreciate decor. They want it included at their special occasion and want to allot some of their budget to it. The events we work on are typically sentimental and clients are full of emotion.

In regards to customer behavior, loyalty is very important to our target market. Our primary form of gaining cliental is word of mouth. When satisfied customers speak greatly about our business and they have a friend who is in need of services, we come recommended. This process is essential to our business. Our clients also value quality, good service, and a fair price. We typically interact with our customers face-to-face. My mom, the face of the brand, has consultations with clients and works with them to create a contract. Our contracts have detailed breakdowns about what decor and services we will be providing, the costs per each, and the total price. This also gives clients a chance to browse through the hard goods we have to offer, although we also often order new hard goods for events.

Overall we aim to create good long-lasting relationships with our target market.
