Week 12 Part A: Business Specific Online Tools

I think that Yelp and TikTok are a marketing tools that could be important to the growth of our business.

Yelp is a platform for consumers to write reviews and give ratings. Yelp is not only it's own website but it also connected to a lot of other websites. For example, when you search a business on Google or Apple maps it has information on the business, including Yelp reviews and how any stars it has out of five. It would definitely work to any business benefit to have positive reviews and a high amount of stars in case anyone decides to search or stumbles upon your business on Yelp. To integrate this into our current strategy, we could post reminders on our social media platforms to leave us a review and rate us on yelp. We could also include it in a possible newsletter. A friendly reminder that if they want to we would extremely appreciate it.

As for TikTok, it is a great place to display behind the scenes, on site set-ups, and the final product/day of. Videos of projects from beginning to end or before and after are extremely popular on TikTok. We could create videos with this method. One idea for a type of video would be to create video montages of the process of getting ready for an event all the way up to the final product. I would make the behind the scenes a shorter part of the video and make the TikTok primarily of the final product. This would be a great way to engage a new generation in our business. A younger generation that is entering the stage in their life where they are getting married or planning events. To integrate this into our current strategy, we could then post these videos on our Instagram and Facebook. This would promote our TikTok and also work as content on those platforms.
